If you want to run a program in your pc/laptop without having to click on start and select a program or double click on an program icon, you can edit your registry to run the program with windows + r key.

Heres the step by step instruction.

1.Click on windows n r simultenously.

2.Type regedit press enter

3.Registry editor window will open

4.Click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

5.Then Click on Softwares

6.In Softwares click on Microsoft then click on windows

7.In windows click on App paths

8.Now right click on app paths and select create new key and name the key according to your choice
for eg. if you want to open notepad, u may want to name it (text). note: you need to add .exe to the name.

9.so you name the key text.exe press enter n now right click text.exe and select create new string.

10.And name the new string as Path press enter. now double click on the string path and type the path of the program for eg. E:\programs\mpc2kxp6490\

11.Now double click on the default string and type the fullpath of the .exe for eg. E:\programs\mpc2kxp6490\mplayerc.exe

12.Now you can close the registry editor and try it out.
